It's an exciting time, and we're right behind you! We can help you in every aspect of your journey, from applying for your provisional licence, to booking your theory test, to what to expect on the big day you take your practical test.
Here's the answers to some common questions our students have.
We always recommend you book your theory test as early as possible. This is to ensure that you learn the rules of the road as you become acquianted with driving itself, but also so you can concentrate on moving forward towards your practical test.
You can book your theory test online through the Driver and Vehicle Standards department, via the gov.je website.
Once you're started with us, this will come around sooner than you think!
Like the theory test, you can book your practical test online, via the gov.je website.
No worries! We're very happy to provide any help and answer any questions you might have. Send us a message using the form below, or contact us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
Great to hear! You can book your lessons right here in just a couple of minutes.
We try to accommodate the busy lives of our students, so understand that from time to time, it may be necessary to cancel a lesson. We permit such cancellations provided a minimum of 24 hours notice is given, since the instructor's time has been paid for. A lesson fee to the value of the rate you are currently being charged therefore applies if the required cancellation notice period is not sufficient.
If you are sick or ill, then a phone call on the morning of your lesson before 8.30am will be sufficient. In these cases, a refund can be provided by drive.je, on provision of a Doctors medical certificate.
On the day of the driving test the Driving Instructor will book you in for a lesson the hour before your test. The instructor will prepare you for the test, accompany you to the DVS and hand in your licence and theory test certificate to the examiners office. The instructor will wait for you at the DVS and will be briefed by the examiners on whether you have passed or not.
Payment for the test to drive.je will be the equivalent of two lessons, one for the hour before the test and the second is for the hire of the car for the test.
Should there be any outstanding accounts once you have passed your test, an invoice will be raised and will require payment within seven days. If the account is not settled then the debt will incur interest and an administrative fee and it will be passed on to a debt collection agency.
